My Testimony

My life has been full of ups and downs. Who's hasn't? Instead of putting up a long bio about who I am and where I have come from I want to use this as an opportunity to talk about the one thing that has never changed in my life. Jesus Christ has always been a part of my life. I have not always worshiped Him the way in which a disciple of His should, but he has never turned His back on me, and he has never forsaken me. The Lord Jesus has really been refining my life through the past several years, and i can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that i am walking with Him right now better than i ever have in the past. Sanctification is a slow and tough process that i have not always been open to, but when i was 49 years old, the Lord Jesus really got a hold of my life and has really been drawing me closer and closer to him daily. I praise God for every bit of grace and mercy he has given me throughout my life. Once i realized what the truth of the Gospel really was, it truly changed my life. Ephesians 2:8-10 says that it is by grace that i have been saved through faith, that it is not by works. I could not do anything myself that merited anything in the kingdom of God. I could not save myself, and everything i did apart from Christ was meaningless. This verse goes on to say that the grace given to me by God is a gift. Verse 10 goes on to talk about who i am in Christ and what my role in our relationship is. Verse 10 says that I am God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for me to do.
 
The ministry that Jesus has given me is to share this truth of Gods gracious gift, and what it means to be found in Him. This same relationship that i have found in Christ is free and is open to anyone who will believe in Jesus Christ as Lord.
 
I have two sons, Josh and Ben. Josh is married and is in the ministry. Ben is a senior and is about to graduate and go off to college. My two sons are extremely important to me, and i can only hope that the way I am living my life will be a good example for them.
